tezza 0 Posted September 17, 2009 dumb question but does anyone have any idea? thanks in advance guys
jonnygoodhand 0 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) They look like the rivet on Rallye Style Arches that I had on my car for a while. They're black fibre glass, a little larger than regular 'bonded' Rallye arches and appear on eBay from time-to-time for around £100. tezza 0 Posted September 18, 2009 thanks for the reply buddy. problem is i was thinking that but these seem to have a different lip. is that just me that thinks that?
Batfink 201 Posted September 18, 2009 i'd say they have been extended further, maybe the rules state that the wheels have to be within the wheelarches...
arnold naber 2 Posted September 18, 2009 looks like mines... those are rallye arches +1" (i have complete wings with intergrated arches the part missing is a small peice that is attachted to the bumper) http://www.kiekies.nl/zooi/IMG_0198.JPG
tezza 0 Posted September 19, 2009 thanks guys. but see like your pic hasnt got a lip on the arch whereas they are lipped in the image. is it just the angle?
Chris H 10 Posted September 20, 2009 I think the lip is actually a seperate piece of mudflap material stuck on to make it wider...seen that done quite a few times
Simon 3 Posted September 20, 2009 like this thay are made by my.
tezza 0 Posted September 21, 2009 oh right, i assumed it came as a kit obviously not then. something to look into. got any more pics simon?
Baz 421 Posted September 21, 2009 like this No i think Chris means mudflap material (kaylan or similar) is attached to arch to protrude outwards, covering the wheels as they stick out further than the arch itself, which is often not allowed.

Baz 421 Posted September 23, 2009 Nope it's not, it's some POS that Rub1Off supposedly built with some wild power claim from an 8v.

Arahan 4 Posted October 21, 2009 Im sure I saw it in a for sale ad somewhere recently, it was this topic about the arches that reminded me when i saw the ad! Can't remember for the life of me where now though!

welshpug 1,627 Posted October 21, 2009 perfectly feasible to be running that kind of power from an Mi16, didn't sound particularly well setup though, wouldn't idle for toffee
cybernck 400 1 Cars Posted October 21, 2009 Baz, please stop with comments like these, as they're misinformation, if nothing else. Nope it's not, it's some POS that Rub1Off supposedly built with some wild power claim from an 8v. PH for about 6,99999999999995 or something equally inflated. 205 MI16 HILLCLIMB/TRACK CAR 240BHP (1992), £4,
Baz 421 Posted October 21, 2009 Ahh, i do apologise, must be another one i was getting confused with then, as there was certainly an 8v black one with a wild power claim for sale a while back, and more than that!
