Tu5j4 (1.6 16v Gti) Stalling When Warm?

Hi,

 

The car (TU5J4 1.6 16v GTI) start fine when cold. But when it gets up to temperature it dies. My thoughts were the CTS? Is there some kind of idle air valve like on the mi16? If so it could be it.

 

What do you guys think?

Idle controller stepper motor is on top of the throttle body, at the back.

 

Remove the torx bit, take it out and give good clean, see if this helps.

 

In my experience they tend to get very gunked up & cause rough idle when hot.

Dont think so as its not possible to start it until its somewhat cold again.

Someone? Its a car i am about to drive to Schwitzerland from Denmark to buy. Quite a long trip if i cant get it running and drive it home
