Compbrake Pedal Box On Offer At £150

Recommended Posts

Rob Thomson

I had a TAS pedal box, and I think TAS became Compbrake... I hated mine, it was fine when trying hard but awful when not. I probably didn't have it set-up correctly.

It eventually collapsed under the strain imposed by one of my pre-blimp scrawny legs. The welds had actually come apart, not what you need for a braking system! Thankfully the brakes jammed on, rather than off.

Perhaps they're better these days, but perhaps they're not.

I've also been looking at this compbrake kit but unsure what MC's to get. I'm running willwood 4 pots up front and standard gti rear discs.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers tim

We'd need a bit more information than that to give you anymore than a guess!

Size of front discs, size of front pistons and brake pad coefficeint of friction.

Pedal boxes do take some setting up, as I found out when I fitted mine (home made). Work wonderfully when done though. I definately wouldn't go back.
