Ignition Wiring, Mi16 Carb Conversion.

I'm having a few issues with the ignition wiring, I think a few cables may be damaged, this probably happened when removing the old 8v engine.

 

I noticed you can buy a custom ignition loom for Mi16 carb conversion from Costella. Just wondered if this would enable me to scrap my original 8v loom to make for a tidier engine bay?

 

Anyone here used/run this loom or something similar?

Why not use the proper one for the engine, the Mi16 loom?

Why not use the proper one for the engine, the Mi16 loom?

I don't have an mi16 loom, I neither have the mi16 distributor or ht leads. And I'm running carbs so keeping it as simple as possible.
