M/c Servo Connection Question

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Was hoping can help with a quick question i have.

I have purchased myself a new servo off a 1ltr 205 and 406 master cylinder to try and get the balance between a pedal box and a servo assisted system.

What i wanted to check was where the m/c connects to the servo. In the centre of the servo is a metal threaded rod with a rubber cap. Does the m/c simple fit over this and bolt on or are the some form of adapters that fit on the end of the rod??

Have looked of servicebox and its not very clear. Stupidly i got rid of my old one before checking how it fixes together.

Thanks

Your new m/c fits over the threaded section, this is what moves the piston inside the m/c to push the fluid around.

You might need to adjust the nut position on the rod to get a decent pedal feel travel ratio & prevent your brakes binding / jamming on.

This measurement was posted recently by welshpug iirc,;

22.2-22.4mm from front face of servo to nose of rod.
