Knockng From Front Right

Hi all.

 

really hope somone can help with this.

 

ive got a knocking from the front right of the car. it does it when you start the engine or come of the clutch mostly but also does it when you turn right or hit a bump wether it be lightly or hard.

 

at first i thought it might have been the arb drop link as it sounds like its hitting the arch at the front when you come off the clutch but hitting the back of the arch when you come on the the bitng point

 

thing is ive had all the suspension components checked and all seems fine. the wishbone has been replaced as have the wishbone bushes, its had group N top mount rubbers fitted, Gaz adjustables ftted. which leads me away from the suspension stuff tbh

 

i thought it could have been the top engine mount but just fitted a BBM group-n one of those aswel and its still not cured it.

 

anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I'd take a look at the lower eng mount.

I'd take a look at the lower eng mount.

 

Yes, the new top engine mount you fitted (particularly as its a group N one) will exacerbate any weakness in your existing lower mount.

 

Also check all six subframe bolts are tight as well as the engine to gearbox bolts.
