K & N Airbox Filter Or Standard

IMO a K&N57i cost about £65 of which you pay about £60 to say you have one, and £5 to replace the filter. I'm sure it may have have the ability to increase the horse power from 1 to 5 BHP but you will never notice it. I do understand that when new cars are made compromises are too, however as far as the 205 is concerned performance did not really seem to be one with the air filter. In hind sight after buying the above mentioned I would not have bothered as now the power steering fluid bottle sits to the left of the battery and should have just bought a replacement oe type.
