Spraying The Interior With Cage & Brake Lines In?

Recommended Posts

Rich_p

As title, are there any issue with me spraying the inside of my car with the cage already in place? (cage will be sprayed too)

Also I just want to get the car usable for a bit so it’s not just sitting there so I need to run some brake lines through the car, can I still spray the inside once they are in place too?

Will they be easy enough to mask?

Sorry if they are dumb questions, I’ve just never done any paintwork before

Personally would spray the car with the cage out and before the brake lines go in as it will be neater.

As long as your masking is ok you'll be fine. Hell I did a totally half-arsed masking effort and mine still came out alright (black interior, yellow cage).

I would prefer to do it with it all out but I just want to get the car usable and then worry about the spraying after.

I’ve piled loads of money into it including keeping it mot’d/taxed/insured etc and haven’t been near an airfield or track for nearly a year so want to use it asap.

Cage and interior will all be one colour (prob anthracite of some type) so I wont have to worry about masking the cage.

Easy peasy then, just do it! :(

Should be a doddle, but you'll need to be a contortionist to get every angle. Or rent a small child for the day :(

This is about the trickiest one I've done. Inside, outside and spaceframe all in one go:
