Strange Metallic Knocking From Rear Beam

I have a very strange knocking/banging noise coming from the rear beam.

 

Its intermittant but usually happens on hard conering when suspension is under compression.

 

 

I have had car on ramp and nothing obvious is wrong, beam mounts exhaust etc are all tight.

 

Any ideas folks?

In case you haven't already, check your shock absorber bolts. Took me a while, lying on my back beneath the car wiggling things to figure that one out.

 

Also, if you're carrying a spare wheel check the carrier is secured tightly.

Check the 13mm bolts that secure the anti-roll bar end plates. I had these exact sounds and turned out these weren't quite as tight as they should be
