Since being robbed by Russell Watkins (see off topics) for a Mi16 power steering set up im after the high pressure hose from the pump to the rack from a 205 diesel or 405 mi16 (if its the same part). Would someone be kind enough to see what i'd be lookong at for a new one from peugeot and seeing if its the same part number for a 205 diesel/405 mi16?

Many thanks in advance.

Does it show a price mate?

If theres a picture, is the pump mounted on a bracket on the gearbox, and is driven off the camshaft?

Cheers

Can anyone confirm this is definately the part I need to mate a mi16 power steering pump to a 205 rack?

Id have my 8v hose modded but I wrecked it getting off.

Perhaps you would be better goin to one of these places that make one off hydraulic pipes for JCB's/fork trucks etc???? :D

If you search that part number for 309 it says its no longer available, but search it for 205 and its available :)

According to the 309 page that's the part number for a LHD car, the RHD equivalant (00004020G5) is £120. :)

Best bet is to get a pipe from any model and get a hydraulics place to shorten/lengthen it. You need the end fittings from an old hose as apparently they're an odd size.

Is it not worth going down the scrappy? Theres normally loads of diesel 205s with PAS about. But yeah, thats the correct hose to make it work.

Thats my first choice - scrapyard, I just thought on the off chance the hoses might be £15 new from peugeot!
