306 And 205/309 Arb End Plates/levers

Recommended Posts

Not sure what the difference is with the aforementioned parts, as they have different part numbers, but the same spline count (30/32) the M8 securing hole is in the same place, and they use the same neoprene seal.

The 309 gti16 uses the same one as the 306 as it happens.

I'm about to fit a 22mm 106/saxo ARB to my 205, so wondered if anyone could say whether I need to re-use the 205 plates, or can I use the 306 plates I already have spare?

With a 106 ARB you need to use the 306 plates (dont know why but that is what my mech. did) wel it on one side (since its a bit shorter than a normal arb) and bolt it on the other side.

The splined section, so therefore the receiving part of the endplates too.

Spined section on the 306 24mm arb is quite a lot bigger. 205 endplates don't fit. Neoprene seal is the same but the rubber one is a lot thinner.

Thanks guys, makes sense now ;)

Good thing I kept those 306 endplates, and that they're all the same on the 306 :D

Just need to see if I have any of those rubber bushes, 5179 10

Then decide if I want to leave the back at 315mm boltcentres, as its bang on the minimum heights front and rear that the Peugeot Sport 205 build manual specifies, but for fatter bars...

The fatter arb shouldn't make any difference to your ride height, fatter torsion bars on the other hand will need it adjusting to keep the same ride height.

No I knew that, just wondering whether to raise it while I'm at it

I'm on standard bars, top of the 185 55 isn't visible!
