Bilstein Rear Dampers

Hi,

 

I have picked up a rear beam that I am in the process of re-furbishing to swap onto my car.

 

The beam has Bilstein dampers, (which I think are Sprintlines although I am yet to find a part number - yellow bodies and take some effort to compress but then self-extend afterwards) and they seem ok, except one of the mounting bushes has perished on one of them.

 

Can the bushes be purchased anywhere? Can the rear dampers be re-furbished at all on the cheap (i.e. by me)?

You can get shock bushings of peugeot,they will prob fit your dampers too.The part no. is 5171 09,that is for the bottom bush.

i mailed the guy at the time and he quoted me £50 plus vat to refurb each damper.

Bushes are £6 each plus vat and a couple of quid postage from Bilstein at the address above, as above, ask for Dave Masters.

 

I bought some about 2 months ago, arrived next day.
