Lightest Brake Calipers From Peugeot Range

Recommended Posts

Guest Gtech309

Ha just realised this is my first post.. long time lurker first time poster.

I'm going change the brakes on the front of my car and it got me thinking about weight and saving it

are there any calipers that are lighter than the rest - keeping within the PSA range.

sure I read somewhere that the 106 S1 rallye ones were alloy..

many 205's and 106's use the same alloy bendix caliper, with the 1.6 gti 205 and most of the sport spec series 1 106's using the version with a wider pad carrier for vented discs.

the 1.6 gti ones have to be one of the lightest though the pad size is so small, if you plan to trackday your car they have poor heat capacity compared to the 1.9 ones.

The non-GTis had the same calipers as the 1.6 gti but with different pad carriers. That is unless it's a mega early example AFAIK.
