Euro Car Tarts Arb Droplink Wrong Thread Size

Recommended Posts

Super Josh

Yesterday I tried to fit a new ARB droplink, one that I had bought from ECP. The thread that mounts to the strut was the wrong size M10 on the original and M12 on the new droplink.

Anyone else experienced this before?

Not a 205 link, I think they maybe 106 from my bad memory and a different length but I tend to use these if bought in pairs

Well I measured it against the old one and it's the same length, it's just the M12 thread that is throwing me. Don't really want to open up the hole in the strut mounting tab!!!!

DONT !

I had this years ago. Supplied by a local factor where i used to live. I, like an impatient idiot, opened up the holes. As other than that, they were identical. (Id not noticed until id gone to fit them, and it was a sunday)

When one of them went, about 2 months later, i got sent a 10mm replacement. Spoke to them about itt, they chased it up. Apparently they were listed correctly, but were old stock which was recalled or something. Apparently that pair wasnt.

Ive never seen a shock with 12mm holes. So im dubious as to how they were ever for a 205 :D

I got a pair of those a few years ago but I don't remember where from, might well have been ECP. They tried to tell me to open the holes up but I just got my money back and went elsewhere.
