Testing A Tachy Relay

Recommended Posts

EdCherry

Is it possible to test these relays without the need for a car, i.e. test circuit/multimeter readings?

I did try a search and get thousands of results of problems. Also checked the main site, atleast I got ways to test some other spare parts I got like AFM's to find out whats dud, and whats ok.

Thanks, Ed.

It's been a long time sine my 205 had or needed a T-Relay.

I can't renmber all of the pins, but you have a feed in, ground, feed out to fuel pump, coil in pin, and some others.

Now and then the t-relay with latch when powered, but it needs to see a pulse ground or voltage spike, like it was connected to a HT coil so it thinks the engine is turning (running).

Sorry that I can't be of any more help, it's been about 5 years since my 205 last used one.
