Gti6 Wiring

i'm trying to sort out this new loom for my car (i melted my old one on the exhaust)

not sure if its a gti6 or xsara vts one

i copied all the the wire numbers/colours from my old loom and where they were connected on the 8v loom

 

all but 2 of the 8v wires are connected

they are

red 2a (9 pin)

grey 12b (6 pin)

 

i've cut none of the smaller plug wires

but i have 4 that i have cut and 6 that are still connected to the 19 pin plug

 

cut wires

cream 480 - k light

yellow 465 - vss

grey 123 - lambda

red 426 - rev counter

 

un cut

yellow 414

green 140

grey 001

earth m444

cream 141

green 415

 

so which of the above wires connect to the 2 8v wires

 

red 2a needs a switched live and the lambda wire

grey 12b is what i'm going to connect to the tacho loom i got off spikey

didnt i make you a loom? or is that the one thats melted?

141 - diagnostic socket

414 - oil level indicator

415 - oil level indicator

not sure if these will make it any easier to work out but here are both the pre and post 97 gti6 diagrams, also a xanta vsx.

the one i had off you i melted

comparing it to the loom i had off you there are a few differences

red 2a is connected to grey 123 - lambda plus one other, which is white 259

on this new loom there is no white 259

wire 259, dont ring any bells,

 

the only wired i normall connect to the red switched live wire are lambda and the ignition relay (pin 14)
