Are Mi16 And S16 Inlet Valves The Same?

Hi all,

 

As above, are mi/s16 inlet valves the same? Ive found a cheap S16 head, and given that i need 8 inlet valves thought it might be a cheap repair.

 

Are they the same? How about the exhaust?

yup 0948 61 and 0949 62, don't forget that the exhaust stud pattern is different.

Thanks Mei, the plan is to use the S16 valves in the Mi head hopefully..

lets hope the guides aren't worn then!

 

valves are only about a tenner each at the most though IIRC.

Yeah the guides are ok, a little in the inlet side, but nowt major.

 

From peugeot the valves are £35ish each! Ive got a contact at Cylinder Head Developments who quoted me £16 each, so cheaper, but still an expensive repair.

try QEP, they were under a tenner for gti6 valves

Looks like im now the proud owner of a complete S16 head.. worth a punt at £35
