309 Beam Doesn't Appear To Fit

Recommended Posts

Anyone got any ideas, i've finally come to put my rebuilt 309 beam onto my car and it doesn't fit properly. The front mountings that come through into the boot fit fine but the rear ones that have the rubber mounts don't line up. The brackets on the 309 beam are basically too wide for the mounting points on the 205 by quite a way. I know the rear beams are wider but i thought it was more that they were just a wider track, i didn't think the mounting points were any different.

Thanks for any help,

Lewis

Lewis have you turned the rear mounts round by 180 degrees? If not you're a you will most likely feal like kicking yourself LOL as this has been covered so many times.

Clearly i'm just rubbish at searching because i can't find anything

When you say the rear mounts do you mean the square rubbers, if so i can't see how that can help? Are you saying that i need to rotate them by 180?

Yes - they're offset, and need to be fitted one way for 205 beams, and the other for 309 beams.

Funky, time to get spinning them round. Clever stuff for peugeot designers!
