Brake Set-up

Looking for new discs and pads for the 205. The calipers are 306 GTi-6 ones.

 

Was wandering if anyone has tried different discs and pads, or what they use with the brake set-up they have on their car.

 

I am looking at Tarox G88 discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads which come to a whoping £288 + delivery!!

Pads make the biggest differance, Mintex and Ferodos are common choices, not the OE ones, think its DS2500 and 1144 or something.

Money is better spent on pads, than fancy discs. Though a lot of people run drilled etc.

Any advice on where to get some pads as they come in at £101 by themselves which is alot just for pads I would say!

Miles on here does some of the high ends pads last i heard.

 

Theres been some threads recently about them , maybe they had suppliers in too.

Miles will be the cheapest on mintex m1144 /55 's. He is for 1.9 calipers anyway.

 

I decided on m1144's from miles and standard disks - supplied, grooved and zinc coated by these chaps:

Cheap cheap Good quality and my brakes are brilliant now. I owe this to the pads though im sure
