1.9 Mi16 Cam Shaft Oil Seals

I bought 4 seals from a supplier:

2 x 36x50x7mm and 2 x 32x48x8mm.

 

I think I picked up those sizes from on here somewhere.

 

Now I've got to fitting them and only 2 of them fit. I'm thinking off the top of my head as it was a few weeks back but I think it's the larger 36 50 7 ones that have gone in ok. I've got these on the inlet side. The others will not fit.

 

Are all 4 supposed to be the same size? That would make sense.

No, they're different sizes, and the original ones are directional. Cheap, non-directional, replacements will wear out prematurely.

How much are pug ones anyway? anyone have access to the prices?

 

If they are directional that would mean you'd have a left and a right seal, so each will be mirror image.

That would mean separate part numbers right?
