evening all

im currently setting my s16 up on megajolt as im using carbs.

i was a bit confused as to what angle i need to bolt the toothed wheel on at and the sensor.

does anyone have any pictures or diagrams of how they have done it. would be very much appreciated.

The vehicle installation guide would be a good start.

 

Here's how I did mine:

-first I had a trigger wheel laser cut with all 36 teeth and bolted it to the crank pulley

-installed the sensor at the front of the block so it would have less than 1 mm gap to the timing wheel

-put piston 1 at TDC using the accurate rod down the spark plug hole method

-counted 10 teeth clockwise from and including the tooth the sensor was over and used the angle grinder to take it off. (1 circle = 360 degrees, 36 teeh -> 1 tooth every 10 degrees, 90 degrees -> 9 teeth)

 

It's all there in the vehicle installation guide. It's a bit more difficult though if you already have the missing tooth off.

 

Use this as base ignition map, there is another one here from Petert but I can't find it. I used this map to build my running map.

trigger wheel is now in place thanks to that guide, cheers for that.

 

the next problem is the throttle position sensor, im not to sure where to mount it exactly.

can anyone help.

I did smth similar to my bike carbs, but I ended up using MAP.
