Alternator Wiring

Recommended Posts

I had a weird alternator problem today, I've been trying to fit a PAS pump (electrical, triggered by the alternator exciter wire) but it's been behaving very oddly. After much messing around I noticed the spade connector on the alternator was a bit wobbly so I took the regulator off. There was a dry solder joint which was the cause of all the problems I'd been having.

One new alternator later, the charge light is fully operational and charging at a steady 14v.  Will take it for a test run just to be sure (with jump leads and tools on board)IMG_20190903_114430.thumb.jpg.987fd1e79a56b3eeae33e7a147162aad.jpg

Thanks guys for your help
