Doof 11 Posted April 8, 2009 Quick question about fuel filters like the 106 gti jobbie. Should the pipe go over the lip? See this picture: http://www.robcollingridge.com/kitcar/desi...Fuel_Filter.jpg I'm just finding it impossible to get the pipes over the lips, partly because they're sort of flat sided, not sloped like the "christmas tree" style fuel connections. Alternatively does anyone know of a 106 gti type fuel filter with the christmas tree fittings? They're surely much safer. Theres some FSE ones on merlin motorsport but i dont really want to pay £50 for a fuel filter!
Doof 11 Posted April 8, 2009 Ooh, demon tweeks sell some much better ones: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/Pro...de=FSESBF001BLK More expensive but I seriously don't want a years work going up in flames so think i'll get one of these.
nick 3 Posted April 8, 2009 The one you have is for the special pipe fittings that just push on with a clip (same as gti-6). The one I have got on the mi is from a vectra, similar size but with "normal" fittings, about £3 from my local factors. Nick
