309 & 205 Shaft & Arm Differences

Recommended Posts

On my rally car I think I have 309 arms but not sure. The bottom arms are standard but have a round hole in the casting which I've never noticed on 205 arms before.

So questions are how do you tell the difference in 205 & 309 GTI arms?

how do you tell the difference in 205 & 309 1900 drive shafts?

What camber do you run if using 309 arms?

I have some AB motorsport 205 rose jointed arms which I want to run with 309 shafts, will they be safe to extend the extra I guess 10mm?

205 arms have lots of ribbing on the top, whereas 309 arms are flat (looking down with ball joint facing up). 205 and 309 shafts, the only difference is the 309 shafts are slightly longer, not sure if theres any measurements knocking about on here. Depending what your rose joints are set to already really, could do with finding the standard length then you have a starting point, 309 arms are around 12mm longer than 205 arms iirc.
