1.6 Or 1.9 Beam?!

well a quick question, ive got a 1.9, but yes the beam is seized. I want to get a replacement, but all that ever comes up forsale on ebay are 1.6 ones, apart from the drums v discs isnt there anything different between the two models? does the 1.9 have bigger torsion bars? and if i got a 1.6, is swapping to discs an easy task? cheers

Just rebuild your new beam using your arms to retain the disc brakes. All you need is a base model tube part and a peugeot rebuild kit.

 

Wow, its so much easier typing that than actually doing it!

 

Incidently if it wasnt a 1.9 to start with Id say just stick with the drum set up its better in the real world IMO. But if you do that youll need different cables and a compensator as well.
