humanz 3 Posted April 3, 2009 Exactly how do you tell the min-max levels on the ph1 bottle? Is it this red thing inside the filler hole? Sorry for the poor quality. Used my phone. If it is, I'm not using enough coolant then. Another thing: I'm getting a leak by the coolant level sender. The cap is as tight as I can get it, but I still find a trickle of coolant from the sender cap down to the plastic ridge around the bottle. What can I do to stop this? Is my only recourse to get a new sender (I have a feeling mine isn't working, see first query)? Finally: Look at the bend in that red coolant hose in the picture. I've tried unkinking it, but it didn't work. Should it be so bent out of shape? Could this be contributing to my overheating problems? Cheers.
Baz 421 Posted April 3, 2009 The red thing can be used as a level yes, but generally they always keep finding their own level anyway! Sender seal has probably had it so letting a little leak by. The bend isn't ideal and if restricting flow ould well be aiding the over-heating issues yes i should imagine.

Chopped off the end..looking inside, it looked like two-thirds of the diameter was blocked off due to the bend. We'll see if all these little things make a difference to my temperature woes. Cheers.
