Gentry - Same Structure As Gti?

Recommended Posts

Guest Pugilist

Hi all

Sorry to ask a question that's probably been raised umpteen (how ever many that is) times before but I just wanted to check if the psuedo-plush Gentry has the same structural integrity as a GTI?

Many thanks! :D

I would have thought yes, pretty much identical. Which bit do you think is different?

I thought all 205s were the same structurally. They should all have the same strength in the shell I think.

Yes all shells are basically the same, the GTi's, Gentry's and STDT ( I think) use the GTi Arch's

Gentrix

and there are a few sorts of gentry´s.

Automatic - ABS - GTI front subframe - rearbeam with discs.

Manual - ABS - GTI Front subframe - rearbeam with discs.

Manual - no ABS - and some even without sunroof - 1.6/CTI Front subframe - rearbeam with drums.

But all LHD - UK market really seems to have only automatics, is that right?
