Help Please Re Power Steering Problem

I thought the pump had died as the steering is heavy, won't centre.

 

So fitted new pump today, new fluid and bled it - no difference.

 

My thoughts are the only thing left is the ram, but wanted to check before I spend another 100 squids.

 

The rack seems okay - not grinding etc.

 

Any advice mucho appreciated.

 

BTW I have searched and there's not much about rams, or the symptoms it has.

I guess there's not a lot of know how about PAS problems then...

 

Well bit the bullet and spent another £115 on a ram, which I fitted tonight and the heavy steering still exists! The old one was worn though.

 

The only thing left is the rack - another £130.

Must be the spool valve in the pinion then,dont know if you can buy this seperatly or if you need to get it with the rack.
