Stone Chips

iv recently had my 205 resprayed, and im now seem to be geting alot of stone chips

 

4 of them on the bonnet, a fair amount on the bumper (mainly lower part) and it is all painted (fibre glass kit)

 

do u seem too sufer on ur 205s badly? just seems like i have got alot of them in a short time

 

anyone used the proper paint sheild film... or the cheaper stuff from ebay?

 

from the pic along the very botom edge is takein the worst chips, i av got a spliter in the shed might prevent damage to that area,?

and berfore any one say about the grill..........

it now has a 3 bar grill fitted, just didnt have time then.

My old 306 had a bonnet painted before i bought it and after i bought it i noticed i was getting loads of stonechips in that,in my case its because they didnt put much paint on and the laquer is very thin.

Don't drive so f*cking close to the car in front. :wub:

You can get stuff (clear plastic) that you can put on the front of the car to stop stone chips.

Iv thought of getting some plastic strips for my front end, thing is i dont know where

to get hold of some.

 

Does any one know where i can purchase some from ? :lol:

well i was looking at the cheaper protective film. the proper stuf is very very expensive! and well im not sure if the paint on my bonet too thick causing it too chip?? and anyone think a spilter would stop the chips on the leading edge (right at the botom, like first inch or soo )

 

and i dont drive close! wel usualy B)
