willmounsey 1 Posted March 13, 2009 Ive been looking for a while on this fourm but still not sure. Im in the middle of rebuilding a 92 1.9 gti and recently got new copper brake lines but silly me forgot to mark which line (i.e front left brake line) went into the MC, I know there's a diagonal split but im not sure which way round the pipes went. unfortunatly the original lines were straightened and the fixings removed( a friend made up the lines for me and ruined the originals) so I cant re-trace where they went. Does it affect the braking if there not right?? Read ye old haynes manual but no joy Any help would be appreciated its been wrecking my head for a few hours now Cheers Wll
Anthony 1,000 Posted March 13, 2009 Doesn't really matter so long as you maintain the diagonal split - ie have the left front and right rear on one half of the MC, and the right front and left rear on the other half (half refering to front or rear, rather than left to right btw)
