Recommended Posts

GTI6BOY

Check the plug going to the temp sender (in the top of the thermostat housing)

On the top of the thermostat housing theres 2 spade connectors,i have put these the wrong way round before which give funny results. Or possible earth on the gearbox problem??

would it not just be the water level being a bit low ? obviously going up a hill the water level is going to move away from the sensor, so bring the interior light on, or maybe not, aint had the engine together in ages

sounds to me like the wrong pin of the 2 pin blue gauge/light sender/switch has been used on the 16v engine.
