[engine_work] New Project: V6 Citroen Berlingo :)

Recommended Posts

cRaig

Well, we were in the pub discussing the need for a high performance van, and the pretty good handling characteristics of the peugeot partner/berlingo when not long after we found one on ebay without an engine for £100. Its a pretty modern one as well (51) plate, so we snapped it up!

Next, we started wondering about an engine for it, thought about Mi16, GTi6 etc, but eventually settled on a 3.0 V6 out of the 406 coupe.

Heres the progress so far..

great project!

i think welshpug said that the rear beam one was from a 405, so does that mean you could fit a mi16x4 transfer box and rear beam????

We arent sure how well the gearbox would mate up to it, because its quite different apparently. We might get a 405 rear beam anyway to get some rear disks at some point..

Does anyone remember that C15 with an Mi16 engine and running gear, reminds me of this!

That's brilliant! I use to work for a firm that put LPG kits into 1.4 berlingo's. A 3ltr V6 should startle a few Transit drivers.
