Dan@bar 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Hi all, I've just bought a replacement blower resister from ebay which looked like a 5pin in the photo but has turned out to be a 4pin now that it's arrived (my fault I didn't check with the seller first!). What's the difference between the 4pin and 5pin and will it work ok in place of my old 5pin item? Cheers
Super Josh 4 Posted February 28, 2009 The 5 pin has a relay that cuts in at full power to bypass the power transistor and its' inherent voltage drop. So you get a slightly higher fan speed. Both types are interchangeable. HTH Josh
