Steering Wheels - Any Difference Early To Late Models?

Recommended Posts

stutto

I've had a second chance offer on a well known auction site for a raid steering wheel boss which the seller describes as fitting all 205's and 309's.

What has made me doubt this is that other shops list several different bosses for the 205, depending on year.

So are there any differences?

IIRC no, but dont take my word as truth on that.

You can fit phase 1 wheels to phase 2's and so forth so cant see whats different, bar the spline and square attachments but thats lower down the column.

Yes there are differences for pre and post 88 cars. The I think the later one is something like part number 0188X

Thanks for the replies.

I have decided to pass on this one as it is quite tall also, so fitting with a snap-off system would bring the wheel too close and it did not have an indicator cancelling pin either. Plus for less than £10 more I can get a shorter one which I can be sure will fit.
