I'm looking for new pads for the front of my 1.9.

My mechanic checked and said it has SYMMETRICAL pads, but are these girling/lucas ones or bendex ones!?

Pics can be found on these links...

As said all 1.9's used the Girling caliper although listing's say different so your first link is correct, just don;t order any EBC's

I was going to go for mintex 1144s for fast road use, I dont use the car on track.

This was the code on the website:

Mintex MDB1300M1144 Mintex M1144 Pads - Front 205 1.9 GTi, CTi, SRi ; 01/83>12/94

or

MDB1628M1144 Mintex M1144 Pads - Front 205 1.9 GTi ; 01/83>12/94

only difference seems to be 1300/1628 in the codes.

The guy said when I phoned if I could tell him which ebc pad I needed, He could relate that and pick the right mintex one.

It's sooo confusing, but hopefully this will get me to the bottom of it!

Just a note to say...

I did order them off Miles, and received them very quickly.

Got them fitted at the weekend, so I'm not sure if they're fully bedded in yet but they have waaaay more bite than my admittedly very worn standard ones. I've mainly been on motorway so they haven't had to cope with much heat yet but I'll report back after a good spanking!

Anyway, would def. recommend Miles if you're needing parts, and thanks to everyone for the advice.

Leo
