Mi16 On Gti-6 Management

My friend is currently looking at running his 1905cc Mi16 on 6 management, what have people done about the cam sensor side of things? Does it need it to run correctly?

it runs sequential injection+ignition hence the need for a cam sensor, not sure what Issues it actually brings up or what the ECU does when it doesnt get a reference signal, but they dont run as well as they should.

 

just a quick thought came to mind, use the 2.0 thermostat housing and inlet cam as this has a cam sensor and tang on the cam, this may fit the 1.9?
