Screw Top Engine Mount

Recommended Posts

My top engine mount has gone.....

So I ordered 184442 from Peugeot. The engine is an Mi. As far as I can see the Mi and the 8v use the same bush, but the mount they gave me below is around 7mm taller than the existing one. So it obviously doesn't fit. It does say 184442 on the bag.

Did I have the correct part number?

Did they put the wrong mount in the bag?

Does anyone know what the above mount is for?

Is it just that the old one had settled and compressed and the new one is the correct height?

that's what I'd have said too, What is the overall height of the bush itself?

Really? They compress that much? It didn't seem too happy going on.

Do you have to squash them that much when they're new?

Yeah thanks for that, you were all right- it fiitted fine when I tried it again. I panicked! :)

I had my first go at replacing a bush (the small vertical one on the lower engine mount bracket) this afternoon and managed to completely F**K it up. It must be great to know what you're doing.
