Lowering Steering Wheel

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to lower the steering wheel / column? It sits far to high in my 205. Doesn't helped by the fact I'm sitting in very low bucket seats.. (& yes the seats are as high as they can go!) Any help would be appreciated

I lowered mine by about 15mm with machined washers and used longer bolts.

Yeah there isn't much scope for movement using the standard mounts, I tried that at first but it just couldn't go low enough; there's also the problem of the poor french driving position where your feet are under the steering wheel and no amount of up and down movement will solve that. I've just finished making my own steering column which sorts all of this out.
