jeeves 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Another question on my mk1 to mk2 conversion im afraid! So far i have my engine loom and lights etc loom in place but i dont seem to have any wiring for the alternator etc! Does this plug into the main loom somewhere? pip470 61 Posted January 20, 2009 There are usually two wires to the alternator, one really thick red one that comes via the alternator straight from the live terminal on the battery and also a thin wire from the brown multiplug. This will put a light on the dashboard when not charging. Maybe someone else will confirm the thin wire colour and number for you. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
