Noisy Rear Brakes

Recommended Posts

davey sprocket

Have searched endlessly but can't find anything relevant....

I seem to have a noisy rear brake, can't really tell which side its coming from. (standard 1.9 discs)

I've had the wheels off today to check there is actually some material left on the pads and they seem fine and nothing untoward on the discs either.

Can a wheel bearing rumble when braking if its seen better days??

I don't really want to replace the discs and pads only to find it was something else all along. Any other thoughts??

if it were a bearing problem you would usually hear it constantly and when you tend to go round sweeping bend ,when the weighjt of the car is on it

Yeah, that's what I would have expected too.

Maybe I'd better just bite the bullet and start replacing things.
