Whats it doing?

Idling at 2.5k when warm.

 

Fine when cold.

 

Replaced the idle control valve already.

 

Interestingly, i idled at 1k for a while after driving it for 5 hours

Mite be your throttle position sensor under the throttle body.

 

When mine gave up it was abit stuttery when first pulling away and also occassionly idled high.

You see the problem is i'm mechanically useless and actulaly need someone with a garage or summit to have a proper look

i'm in the north east (grimsby) and have just completed a gti-6 conversion! but unfortunately I also have an idling problem, where the engine seems to 'chug' every 10-15 secs, like its going to stall, then the revs jump back up and its ok.

I'll have a look at it if you want, can't promise to fix anything but I've done the conversion and mine is working ok touch wood. Am in most days send me a pm
