Pretty Stupid Question

just got a 16 row oil cooler and thermostat from matt lewis on ebay, just a quick stupid question,

is the thermostat the part screwed into the top of the oil cooler plate and how does it work.

Yes it is, Thermostat opens when the oil is at a certain temp and allows it to then cool around the cooler. Then if the oil cools below the pre determined temperature then the oil doesn't circulate the cooler. It basically prevents over cooling of the oil perfect for our winters :blush:
