gerlewislewis 0 Posted November 27, 2008 I recently changed the rear discs for an MOT, but not the pads. Everything has been fine for 5 months, then SUDDENLY its scrubbing really badly, almost sounds like a coke can or something is stuck in the caliper! Is this likely to be cos I didnt change the pads at the same time? and if so, do you think changing the pads now will solve my problem? The expensive thing to do would be to change the pads and discs (again!), but id like to avoid that if at all poss! Cheers Ger Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gerlewislewis 0 Posted November 28, 2008 ok,its definatly the near side wheel as Ive just noticed the tyre has gone orange form all the metal shards! also the wheel smells of iron! Both pads are in place, but the back of the disc looks all shiney/scratched. Im not sure if this is because all the tread has gone, or if its cos I didnt change the pads.
