Anybody know who is the cheapest supplier for the tarmac inserts for PTS rose jointed top mounts?

Anyone know the part number for the bearing for the PTS fixed rose jointed top mount and a supplier?

Thanks

Baz PTS (Peugeot Talbot Sport) spec Bilstein inserts can be used on CONCENTRIC or ECCENTRIC top mounts dependent on the spindle length as PTS did sell a eccentric top mount.

So Spiky was right to question the type of top mount.

205rallyee I would call Skip Brown Cars on 01829 720 492.

I was 100% on my answer, course you can use others, but the OP originally said 'rose jointed', so why question that? ^_^

if they are Bilstein, give me the part number and I'll get you a price. I dont have the list of motorsport dampers to hand..

Because CONCENTRIC and ECCENTRIC top mounts are both rose jointed!

But PTS didn't do eccentric so Baz is right, given that 205Rallee said PTS

There was never a part no for the bearing but was probably available informally. Maybe Special Tuning have carried this on?

they did actually, a friend has a set in his garage, round plate of alloy, rose joint placed offset and loads of holes (or at least that's what I think are eccentric top mounts... )

just remembered where you can get Bilstein compatible hardware, namely top mounts @ £39 each, they look pretty close to the PTS top mounts my friend has and they also do the bearings to suit, they may be compatible.

Actually they did produce eccentric top mounts hence my point.

They were very rare but my friend ran an original Group A car and they were found on that.

Welshpug by PTS he meant genuine units produced in some way or another by Peugeot Talbot Sport not generic ones.

but I took it to mean fixed non adjustable type, like the PTS ones i've seen.

an breathe everyone! ^_^

since PTS went belly up a long time ago all this arguing is somewhat irrelavant! everything you can get nowadays for the 205 is a copy of something else, but for the sake of joining sides both concentric and eccentric rose jointed top mounts are mentioned in teh pts build manual. :P

where in that post did i say peugeot sport had gone belly up?

PTS the uk supplier of grp n and grp a parts ceased trading yonks ago, got bought out as special tuning who now have less and less in their catalogue each year. there hasn't been an offical supplier of peugeot sport parts in the uk for donkies years because the 205 went out of homolgationso bloomin long ago.

I'll eat my hat if PTS made eccentric top mounts. AFAIK they weren't even legal in Gp A and the factory cars used neg camber hubs.

And 205Rallee mentioned fixed anyway. So there. ^_^
