Megasquirt On An 8v 1.9

Recommended Posts

Right then,

I decided to go with the proper injection route (probably on my way to a Mi) and just ordered a megasquirt.

Setup will be:

MS1 chip on a v3 board;

Mi16 flywheel (60-2);

Megasquirt-n-spark, running wasted spark on a 405 or 103 coil pack;

405 idle valve;

Narrowband lambda sensor.

Anyone has some fuel maps for an 8 valve that can help me get started?

Cheers all,

Daniel

To tune it yourself your really going to need a wideband lambda sensor as a narrowband sensor will only say too ritch or too lean. A wideband will say how much too ritch or lean, which will make it so much easier to tune.

When I was playing around with the MS on my standard 1.9 a few years ago I found the base injection map created by Megatune was good enough to start and get the car to idle. I never really progressed my standard map any further before I pulled it all apart for the supercharger install.

Mad. :blush:
