Indicator wiring

Recommended Posts

Gavin Waddell

I recently painted the engine bay and I am putting everything back onto place and I decided to re-wrap the loom and sort our some wiring. I was looking g at the indivmcayor loom and was wondering if any one had tidied it up a bit as its a bit weird how peugeot have done it.

There seem to be 2 wires that run from the hazard switch and 2 wires that run from the wing indicator into a female  plug. Then there is a male plug that plugs into it for the front indicator which makes a massive kind of loop of wire . I'm guessing it's so if a bulb goes out then you still have the other indicators?

Has any one already git rid of the plug and just crimped everything together to just make it a bit tidier.

Thanks Gavin.

the odd looking extra loom is because early cars and some countries later4 on did not have side repeaters.

chopping the plugs out and using sealed crimps would make it a lot better as they are often corroded causing intermittent bulbs
