Removing the lower ball joint

Recommended Posts

Richie-Van-GTi

Has anyone successfully removed the lower ball joint from their wishbone without knackering the arm? I have some brand new delphi arms, the correct shape ones and I would like to get the ball joints out if possible.

Looking into making an insert to accept downward facing ball joints (406 style)

Years ago we pressed one out, then milled the casting to take a 106 ball joint. Alot of effort and time for what it was worth.

I have seen them modified to accept a spherical bearing,  aftermarket castings are better for this as they have more meat.
