Emerald AFR target settings

I'm messing around with my AFR target settings on my Emerald atm. Its mapped for a standard 1.9 with feedback from a wide band lambda. I think maybe I dont have the settings correct . Any thoughts from anyone with experience on this ECU?

The reason I'm asking this is the car has developed a slight hesitation but I only notice it once in a journey.  Had a quick look at the sparks to see if its fuelling OK.  I think they look OK. They have been fitted for about 8000 miles or so

Just as a quick note - closed loop doesn't record or adapt any fueling long-term, it performs 'live' adjustments only but won't remember them. I presume that's what you want.

Given that, I don't think setting all the "corrections on table" section need to be set to 0 to disable them, as updates to the table only apply during adaptive mode.

Otherwise can't see anything obvious - 10% is probably quite a generous change allowance, I'd probably turn that down a bit, 5% maybe, but I doubt that's causing the issue. What makes you think the hesitation is related to this? Have you tried turning it off completely (put it open loop across the board) and does the problem go away?

Hi brumster,

I have fixed the hesitation with a service so looks like  a dodgy plug.

Regarding my AFR targets on the map I've no idea if the figures I put in are ok. The car was mapped at emerald and I added the wideband sensor later. Its pretty much guess work tbh

The targets look like the default Emerald ones and I don't ever recall fiddling with any of mine either, bar maybe around the 2000-3000 rpm mark for emissions tests at MOT time. I wouldn't worry about them. They are reasonable and only a rolling road session or lots of road testing would identify better values ;)
