What do people do here? any help with a fix much appreciated or is it a case of trying to source a frame in better condition than mine?

Looks pretty delicate afraid to touch it until I have a fix solution! :mellow:

This pipe is done for, that is for sure. Are the others like that too?

If it's just this pipe then you can probably fix the frame with a bit of welding on this corner.

One way or another you need to take the frame out of the car first.

Yes the frame is coming out, as its hoping to get off to the body shop for a respray.  Once i have the headlining out I will be able to see how rusty the other are

Frame is finally off the car.   Its only the one drain hole that has suffered from rust, the three others are like new!  Can anyone advise on how to tackle a repair?

Cut it, weld a new one then paint the whole thing.

Also the drainage pipe is probably clogged, that would explain why ony this one rusted.

Thanks SRDT, i have sourced a local fabricator who is going to carry out the repair for me.

With regards to the tube being blocked yes I assumed it was blocked too, blew down it and was all clear!  I try and feed some wire down to ensure its fully clear of anything.

doin well j

dont have a sunroof so guessin that yours is the fancier version in the pic (not the BRITAX version):

there's three bolts shown, numbered 3, 4 and 10 and they're all quoted at "4X0, 70X10" which is confusing to me

hope one of them is the two bolts you're referring to

I'd have guessed at an M6 shank with a 1.0 pitch thread and an M10 hex head cause peugeot use that size heaps

have a look at the bolt head that broke off, if its M10 hex then it must be M6x1.0 with a captive nut on the inside ?

I know you are trying to be helpful, but guessing really helps no one.

They are M4 screws hence 4x0,70x12 is M4 0.7mm pitch 12mm long.

the pic posted shows the sunroof, the bolts and the bolt specs

which you quote from to confirm the bolts

it wasn't rude either

I wasn’t rude just stating facts. If you don’t have first hand experience it is better to post nothing than to guess.
