Inner and outer tie rod changed still a slight clunk

Recommended Posts

As the title says..

I have a small clunk on the right wheel when swinging it at 9 and 3 position to test tie rod. Changed the entire tie rod (inner and outer) and the slight clunk is still there. Left side is steady.

What might be causing it?

No movement of the tire when swinging 12-6 o'clock edges of the tire.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

check the rack to subframe bolts, could be the bush inside the rack itself.

Hi Welshpug, the bolts of the rack are tight. I will check the manual regarding the internal bushing of the rack. With the right wheel off the ground, when quickly swinging left and right the steering wheel in the dead centre play area, I can hear the clunk too.
